(1) The director must send copies of special event permit applications to all pertinent city departments for review and determination of services required.

(2) The applicant is required to coordinate with the Stanwood police department and public works department to employ police officers for security and traffic control as determined by the departmental analysis.

(3) The director must estimate the cost of city services (e.g., police, public works employees, etc.) for a special event prior to the event. As a condition of permit approval, the director may require a cash deposit for such costs prior to issuance of a special event permit. Additional costs incurred by the city will be evaluated following the completion of the event.

(4) If city sponsorship is requested, the city financial contribution to the event must be determined as part of the departmental analysis. The city may at its discretion provide for the full or partial cost of police and public works services for city-sponsored special events. (Ord. 1521 § 2 (Exh. A), 2023).
