2.16.040 Duties and authority.

(1) The board has the authority to make recommendations to the mayor and city council.
(2) The board has the duty to:
(a) Provide a communication link between the city and the Stanwood/Camano community on parks and trail issues;
(b) Advise the city on implementation of the various parks and trails plans;
(c) Review and make recommendations regarding park and trail facilities including land acquisition, development, financing, programming, and capital improvement needs;
(d) Advise the city on park-related grant applications; and
(e) Make recommendations on work programs, policy issues, and amendments to the Stanwood Municipal Code related to parks. (Ord. 1513 § 1 (Exh. A), 2023).
