(1) All books and records required to be kept pursuant to this chapter shall be open to inspection by the police chief of the city of Stanwood during the hours when the licensed premises is open for business upon two days’ written notice to the licensee. The purpose of such inspection shall be to determine if the books and records meet the requirements of this chapter.

(2) The licensed premises shall be (as an implied condition of receiving a sexually oriented business permit and/or license) open to inspection by the police chief during the hours when the sexually oriented business premises is open for business. The purpose of such inspection shall be to determine if the licensed premises is operated in accordance with the requirements of this chapter. It is hereby expressly declared that unannounced inspections are necessary to insure compliance with this chapter. (Ord. 1521 § 2 (Exh. A), 2023).
