5.12.030 State and local licenses required.
This section is included in your selections.
(1) To operate a taxicab in the city of Stanwood, the following licenses are required:
(a) A state taxicab license per RCW 46.72.020; and
(b) A city of Stanwood business license.
(2) To obtain a city business license, a taxicab operator must comply with all of the following:
(a) All drivers must be at least 21 years of age;
(b) All drivers must be duly licensed to drive a motor vehicle for hire under the laws of the state of Washington;
(c) Only operate as a taxicab a vehicle in safe condition for use as such;
(d) Fully comply with the requirements of Chapter 46.72 RCW. (Ord. 1521 § 2 (Exh. A), 2023).
