2.18.040 Duties and authority.

The board has the responsibility to:
(1) Provide a communication link between the city and the business community;
(2) Advise the city council on implementation of the economic development work program;
(3) Advise the city council on the business perspective on a range of policy issues such as capital planning, zoning amendments, and land use policy plans;
(4) Advise the city on grant applications, consistent with the city’s adopted uniform procurement policies (Resolution 13-02 or later amended) for:
(a) Grants for special events that benefit Stanwood; and
(b) Grants for small capital projects benefiting Stanwood Downtown;
(5) Advise the city council on other matters as requested by the city council. (Ord. 1513 § 1 (Exh. A), 2023).
