When the provisions of these standards conflict with other applicable codes and regulations, the more restrictive shall apply. Where the provision of landscaping as required by these standards conflicts with the requirements of the street and utility standards (Chapter 14.14 SMC), the planning director may adjust landscaping requirements as necessary to accommodate other needed improvements.
